Founder, Brainz Lab
I've been writing code since 2010. Started as a webmaster, moved to Rails, and never looked back.
Over the years I've been a developer, a tech lead, a CTO, a Head of Engineering. I've built ERPs, mobility platforms, e-commerce systems. I've set up Kubernetes clusters across multiple countries, designed microservices architectures, and led teams through the chaos of scaling fast.
Most recently, I spent three years as Head of Engineering at Picap LATAM—the fastest-growing mobility platform in the region. Before that, CTO at Symplifica. Before that, Director of IT at ROEPA, building systems across France and Germany.
I've worked in Colombia, France, Germany, Spain. Different languages, different cultures, same problems. Software is software everywhere.
I started Brainz Lab because I saw something others were missing.
Everyone's talking about AI replacing developers. I think that's backwards. AI doesn't replace experience—it amplifies it. The developers who've spent years learning how systems actually work? They have an unfair advantage now.
But there's a gap. AI is powerful, but it's blind. It can't see your logs, your errors, your metrics. Every time Claude asks "can you paste the output?", that's a problem waiting to be solved.
So I'm solving it. Building the infrastructure that makes AI actually useful for real development work. Not toys—tools.
I believe we're at the beginning of something big. AI agents that don't just assist, but actually do the work. Not in five years. Now.
Brainz Lab is my bet on that future. 31 products. 8 AI executives. One system that ties it all together.
It might not work. But after 13 years of building other people's visions, I figured it was time to build my own.
Let's see what happens.
The highlights, if you're curious.
2022 — 2025
Picap LATAM
Led engineering across multiple countries. Modern Rails architectures with Hotwire. Transitioned team to Shape Up. Microservices overhaul for scale.
2020 — 2022
Symplifica
Full technology leadership. Strategy, architecture, team building.
2016 — 2021
ROEPA International Trading Group — France
Built ERP systems, server clusters across countries, multi-language applications. First taste of international scale.
2012 — 2015
MPM Abogados
Where it all started. Built my first real systems. Fell in love with Rails.
2010
La Salle — Zipaquirá
Day one. CMS implementation, website design. The beginning.
Building in public means building with people. Say hi.
